Speaker Profile: Gregory Kovsky

One of the things we’re most looking forward to about NEDME 2025 is our speaker lineup, which is bigger and better than ever.  In addition to the keynotes, this year’s show will feature full day speaker tracks in Management, Design, Manufacturing, and Business, as well as a panel discussion on AI and electronics manufacturing.  In the Management track, we’re very pleased to host Gregory Kovsky of International Business Associates (IBA) to discuss “Why 2025 is an Excellent Year to Sell or Buy a Manufacturing Company.”  Gregory generously shared his insights with our NEDME community in advance of the show.

Gregory Kovsky, International Business Associates (IBA)

Can you give our readers a quick picture of who you are and what you bring to the NEDME community?
I am a 31 year M&A intermediary specializing in the facilitation of sales of privately held companies and family businesses including associated commercial real estate, when applicable, in the Pacific Northwest.   I am also the President & CEO of the oldest & largest business brokerage firm in Washington & Oregon, IBA, with 10 offices spread throughout the region.

What message do you want attendees to take away from your presentation at the show?
Knowledge, experience, skill, customer service, and integrity matter in the sale or purchase of a business.

What do YOU hope to get from your involvement with NEDME?
To share my knowledge & experience and benefit others on their life path.  My mother & her sister were teachers.  It is my opinion that the best decisions are made from a foundation of knowledge.

Tell us something fun or surprising about yourself!
Inspired by growing up in Oregon watching Jack Ramsay coach the Trailblazers and Ralph Miller the Oregon State Beavers, I pursued being a college basketball coach as my first career.
