Sponsor Profile: QTex AI

We’re thrilled to have QTex AI as a first-time exhibitor and Silver sponsor of this year’s show! Oliver MacDonald, co-founder of QTex AI, generously shared his time with us so that we could introduce all of you to this new valued member of our community — read on to learn more about QTek AI and what you have to look forward to at the show!

What role does QTex AI play in the electronics design and manufacturing industry in the Pacific Northwest?
QTex AI helps engineering teams drastically reduce the time spent sourcing parts during the R&D stage, helping to eliminate one of the most time-consuming, error-prone, and frustrating hurdles in the product development lifecycle. For small to mid-sized teams, especially those without dedicated sourcing personnel, the process of combing through datasheets, cross-referencing distributors, and ensuring part compatibility can eat up valuable engineering hours. PartWise, our conversational AI assistant, streamlines this entire process by letting engineers describe what they need and instantly get part recommendations, comparisons, and availability data in one place. This means less time switching between tabs, fewer design bottlenecks, and more time spent building and iterating. By simplifying and accelerating part search, we help teams across the Pacific Northwest go from idea to prototype with fewer delays, empowering them to build better products, faster.

If you could give our readers one sentence of expert insight or advice on how they can stay ahead in the industry, what would it be?
To stay ahead, embrace tools that reduce friction in your engineering workflow as speed and flexibility are your greatest competitive advantages, and they should be attained without reducing personnel.

What can attendees look forward to at your booth?
We’ll have live demo devices set up so engineers can explore PartWise hands-on and see just how quickly it can surface the right components during early-stage design. You’ll be able to test real sourcing scenarios, compare parts in seconds, and experience firsthand how PartWise can transform your workflow. We’re also bringing a limited run of custom-designed PCBs as giveaways for visitors to take home. QTex’s co-founder and COO, Oliver MacDonald, will be at the booth throughout the day, ready to connect, answer questions, and engage in meaningful conversations with local engineers, founders, and manufacturers to deepen QTex AI’s presence in the PNW hardware community.

What is QTex hoping to get out of its involvement with the NEDME community?
We’re excited to connect with engineers, designers, and manufacturers who make up the heart of the Pacific Northwest’s thriving hardware ecosystem. Events like NEDME provide a chance to step out from behind the screen and have real conversations with the people building the future of engineering. This allows us to better understand the day-to-day challenges our customers face and refine our tools to address them before they cause mayhem. Whether it’s learning how teams are navigating sourcing bottlenecks, managing BOMs, or scaling R&D, our goal is to listen, learn, and grow alongside the community. By investing our time and energy into these local relationships, we aim to shape PartWise into a platform that empowers lean, agile teams to move faster without sacrificing quality. We want to help ensure that small to medium-sized companies can stay competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.
